Vernacular LLC is a Delaware-based landscape architecture firm focusing on conceptual design and planning for municipalities with associates in New Castle County and Sussex counties. Vernacular creates adaptive and innovative conceptual designs that thoughtfully integrate people and place through nature. Our process places special emphasis on planning for future changes, connecting with communities, and responding to people and place first.
Collaborative Engagement
We place a high value on community and stakeholder engagement incorporating a variety of strategies to reach as many people as possible. Jules Bruck has an extensive history working with communities, organizing continuous community engagement opportunities in person and online. She understands the complexities and importance of incorporating state agencies as part of the design process. We believe it is critical to the success of every project to collaborate openly with our clients and key stakeholders to find a shared point of view.

We value a thorough review and analysis of all present and historic data. The extensive research phase of our design process reveals a deep understanding of the history, context, challenges, and opportunities of each project. Coming from a strong educational background, we employ well documented, peer reviewed scientific and social research into our design solutions.
